my child was in the hospital for 4 days. Company policies are after 4 days a employer had to fie fmla, I returned back to work following the 4 days. Two weeks later I had a appointment for myself to go to the doctor. Does the day I took off for my appointment that is not related to my sons incident counted to one of the fmla days? And does any days there after that is taken off sick that is not related counted as as a fmla day?

Re: fmla

The absences that are not related to your son's condition do not qualify for FMLA, unless they are also for a condition that qualifies under the FMLA. In other words, you would need to apply for FMLA seprately for leave for your own health condition anhd it must be evaluated base on its own merits.
