Legal Question in Medical Leave in Kentucky

I am in Kentucky. I have been off work for 3 and a half weeks due to dizzy spells. The doctor is running numerous test and sending me to spealist to find a cause. I cannot return to light duty, (they have none), or regular work without doctors release. Doctor will not release until satisfied that all test are ran that need be. I have not been employed long enough to draw FLMA, which my company pays a percent of my weekly pay, and have had no income, and can not get much help from government agencies because they base on last months income, which was good. Is there any temporary disability or other means of income I can seek, until I can return to work? I am desperate and in fear of losing my electric, phone, water, everything else. As of tomorrow, I will lose internet, overdrawn at the bank, and no food. I need help.

Only if you had insurance coverage for short term disability. Otherwise you should contact local agencies, such as the Cabinet for Health & Family Services concerning possible public assistance. They may have a list of community programs that might be available to assist you. However, likely, those resources are pretty tapped at the moment.
