Overstaying A Visa Waiver

Hello I am a UK citizen in the USon a 90 Visa Waiver Iwonder what the consequences would be if I overstayed.. I am staying with my boyfriend and we want to get married as soon as my UK divorce comes through

Theoretically, there is always a chance that you will be put in the deportation proceedings after your status expires. This will trigger very serious consequences. If you get married to the US citizen, you are eligible for adjustment of status even while in the deportation proceedings. However, this will be a complicated case.
