When using a company email system and you send personal info thru an email, does the company have the right to search and read your emails? Who owns this ''property''?

The bottom line is ... yes. The company does have the right to search and read your e-mail messages if they are composed on company property, sent through the company server, or if you use your company e-mail address. Check the company's policy on use of electronic media, it should be spelled out in the policy.
