Legal Question in Employment Law in Kentucky

compensation

My former employee refused to give me my check. I worked as in independent contractor so I told him that i was no longer going to work for his company. He still has not given me my last two checks and is refusing to respond to any correspondence. The company receives payment for the services I provided by billing Kentucky Medicaid. How should I proceed?

Re: compensation

Depending on the amount of money he owes you, you can file a claim for it in small claims court or a higher court. If he is inappropritely seeking reimbursement from Medicaid, then he may be committing fraud. You should speak with an attorney regarding these issues. I can be reached at [email protected] or at the number listed in my profile.
