Protecting your child!

my aunt was arrested today for protecting her son. a man grabed him shook him and said he was going to break his neck, he is only 5. my aunt told the man if he ever said that to her son again she would break his neck. she was read her rights and slapped with a terrestic threating 3rd degree. she is a military mother and alone. the man is also military. she now will always have a criminal record for trying to protect her children. what can be done!

First, if this charge was made in the military legal system, she should retain JAG advice immediately on this issue.

If the charge was made in the civilian justice system, an attorney should be retained to defend the charge. Most juries would understand a mother's instinct to defend her child. But quick and competent legal representation is the key at this point.
