Just bought a car didnt have it a day and it broke down what can I do

Depends on who you bought it from, and what, if any, guarantees or warranties were made on the vehicle. Review your paperwork, if any, and go from there. If you purchased the vehicle from a dealership, take it back immediately and ask they resolve the problem or allow a trade for another vehicle, and if not, to refund your money.
When purchasing a used vehicle, always have the vehicle inspected by *your* mechanic before finalizing the deal. Make the deal contingent on your mechanic's approval. While the vehicle might still blow out its engine a few weeks later, you know it was nothing that could have been predicted by the seller or the mechanic; it was just bad luck.
