My name has been forged

My parents owned a piece of property my mother died when we were young my father remarried when he died unfortunatly he as well as my mother did not leave a will. By luck my brother was checking records in our local courthouse and found a quit claim deed that had been forged and put on record giving our step-mother sole ownership of the property myself as well as my sister and brother had no idea this had been done how can we get our property back and what can we do she has even put a mortage on the property

You need to have the title examined by an attorney to determine exactly the state of the title. You do not say who the quit claim deed is from, nor do you say if your mother and father owned it in survivorship. Assuming that there is a forgery, there is only one way to set aside the quit claim deed and that is by litigation with handwriting experts etc.. There are no quick answers here.
