Legal Question in Workers Comp in Kentucky

What rights do workers have concerning payment of time lost, due to work related

When an employee visits the doctor for care of an injury sustained on the job site, is the employer responsible for paying that employee's lost wages for the time spent at the appointment? Also, if subsequent appointments are necessary for the care of the same injury, would the employer have the responsibility of paying for those lost wages as well (i.e. wound dressing, physical therapy)?

Thank You

I am an attorney in Illinois. The laws of the various states do vary to some degree. But generally, all states pay you temporary total compensation (TTD) while you are off of work and being treated by a physician. When you are working and still receiving medical treatment, you are generally not paid for a day off work. But that may be different in Kentucky. You should consult a local attorney experienced in Workers' Comp. Good Luck.
