Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Louisiana

Threats and Harrassment after Chapter 7

I have been threatened by a company that was discharged in a Chapter 7 bankruptcy. We did not reaffirm on a mobile home we bought that my brother has been living in for 2 1/2 yrs. They are threatening repossession since he is behind on payments after losing his job. I called to try to work something out and was totally humiliated made fun of, threatened to attach a lien to my house, and threatened with legal action to collect from us. I thought this was illegal. Please tell me what my rights are.

Re: Threats and Harrassment after Chapter 7

First,I suggest you contact the attorney who handled your Ch. 7, and I'd defer to his advice since he's better acquainted with all the fact of your case. However, ordinarily, since you did not reaffirm the debt on the mobile home, the creditor has every right to repossess it, but that's the most they can do.
