Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Louisiana

Bills made before marrige to spouse

We would like to know if my husband is liable for a legal bill i hade before we were married? Can they garnish his pay from his checks? Or am i the only one responsible for this bill. What can happen if i do not pay legal bill.
