Legal Question in Construction Law in Louisiana

Breech of Contract

Subcontractor bids on installing heating & air for 8 sets of townhomes for general contractor. General contractor decides to get another subcontractor to do the last set of townhomes because his superintendent cannot get along with the subcontractor. There was not a written contract but there was a bid for the 8 sets of townhomes given to the gen contractor. Can we sue for breech of contract...we lose on the construction but also future business with the future townhome owners and any referrals they may provide.

Re: Breech of Contract

You need a contract to sue on and you don't have one because the value at issue here is certainly over the limit for a verbal contract. I can help you to get contracts for your future work so you don't have this type of mess occurring.
