What gives a Credit card Company the right demand a large payment for you going over your limit when they nothing to keep a charge from going through especially since they themselves set that limit and they let it go through anyway.

It is part of your contract with them. If you go beyond your spending limit, they charge you. It is your duty to keep within your limit. The rules may be harsh, but they are not illegal and not against public policy.
