credit collectors suing
Is the wife responsible for debt that husband incurred before the marriage, can they sue her personally?
Re: credit collectors suing
The debt is technically the husband's separate debt, and the wife cannot be sued personally. However, if the creditor sues the husband and obtains a judgment, the creditor can seize community property (wages, bank accounts, etc) to satisfy the debt.
An attorney should be consulted as soon as possible.
