Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Louisiana

A local hospital that provided service to me billed my insurance company and misplaced my referral. The insurance company denied the charges because of no referral. I was blamed for the payment which came out to be 3,700, sending it to collections causing my credit score to drop over 125 points. I couldn't get anything because of their billing mishap. They preferred to have me pay it off because the insurance didn't't pay. After refusing to make a payment, I investigated and the collections agency told me it was totally the hospital and insurance company fault and it was removed it. After six months of battling this issue I'm very upset. Is it possible I can sue them.

You can always sue but you must prove an actual loss for which they are responsible.
