can u be billed twice for the same debt
if a furniture store charges off as a bad debt, a debt u owed for furniture lost during hurricane katrina, can a new company pick up this debt and demand that u pay it?

A charge off does not mean you no longer owe the debt. It just means the creditor feels it is no longer collectable. The debt is still owed and can be pursued by the creditor or a collection agency or attorney.
