caught this charge in louisiana when i was 17 years old
the girl was 15 years old i was 17. I fell under the law 2 months difference and end up doing 2 years. Now i am having to register as a sex offender. What is the sentencing for failing to register as a sex offender for first time

Contact a lawyer. A recent amendment in the registration law might exempt you from registration. Individuals who under current law would only be guilty of Misdemeanor Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile may be excused of the registration requirement.
