how do you change plea after arraignment?

my son pled not guilty to criminal tresspass.we found out that the max for that is 30 days in jail. well, now he has to sit in jail for 4 more months til trial, because of probation hold pending what happens in new case. what forms does he file on his own behalf to change plea? he's already been in jail for 2 mos.

Whether he should do that depends on how much time he is backing up on probation and whether his probation officer would revoke him based on a misdemeanor conviction.

If he does not have an attorney appointed to his case, he should seek an attorney as soon as possible.
