Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana

Louisiana Law regarding sexual contact with someone 17

I live in Louisiana. If a young man,age 22, writes and receives sexual e-mails and instant messages from a girl 17, and she also comes to his home and they cuddle on the couch and watch television. If they kiss and fondle over their clothes.. and NO SEX ever takes place.. and no clothes are ever removed.. how much trouble can her mother make for the guy if she intercepts some of the e-mails, finds out, and gets pissed?

PLEASE ANSWER ASAP..

If you were my client, I would tell you to stay away if the mother does not want you around. With that said, there is little that could be done to you criminally unless the girl were to claim you raped her.

I agree that you should stay away from the mother. In Louisiana consensual sex with a person who has had their 17th birthday is not a crime.

Because in some states the age would be 18, I would suggest that you avoid travelling with her.
