Statute of Limitations for Parole Hearing

My son is being held in the local jail for a parole violation (he left town without PO officers permission), and is awaiting a parole viotation hearing, but none is scheduled at this time. How long can they hold him before they either schedule a hearing or release him? Thanks.

Technically until the time he is backing up has been served. Have his lawyer file a motion for expedited hearing. Better than that, go beg the parole officer for one more chance. Parole is different than probation.
