sued more then ins. coverage

someone stole my truck who provided me with alochol when 18 and took my keys out of pocket against will.killed someone with truck. now ins.says we need a lawyer to represent me so as not to garnish wages sued over limits.would i go to jail if i can't pay?what can they to do to me?can my parents put the one who supplied me with alochol in jail beings i was 18 he wasn't arrest. police questioned him he said he never took my keys. may have a witness to that fact but he is now in jail for having cardnal knowledge of a juv.

Your insurance company is warning you that if you are found liable your liability may exceed the amount of insurance you have purchased. You raise a number of issues that cannot be answered on a message board, but should be addressed in a private consultation with an attorney.
