Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

Adult Son Living at Home

My adult son moved back home when he lost his job. He is employed again but won't leave. The local authority doesn't help. My husband is a deputy and the others don't seem to want to ''get mixed up in it''. I've called for help before and the only thing that happened was they teased my husband ''like they often do'' with others on the force.

My son had leased a truck and made a loan, in better times, which I co-signed. The truck was repoed and I am stuck with the bill.

Things are getting real bad around here. Extremely verbal and sometimes breaking things. He seems to be getting more violent.

I would like him out of the house, but don't know what to do.

Any advice that I can start to think about? He is an only child, but he needs to grow up! I would really like to keep us a family, but at this point, I am afraid! Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

If you and your husband agree that he leaves, then he is trespassing and you need to file charges. Sounds like your law enforcement is a joke.

Is your husband your son's father or is he giving your son permission to be there? The two of you tell him to leave and he does not, the police should make him leave because he is trespassing. Otherwise, you could file an eviction proceeding.
