Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

Child Support Modification after Consent Order

The NCP and I entered into a consent order after 6 years of dealing with support enforcement without a support order being established. La Support enforcement obtained judgement based on consent decree. The NCP's home of record is Florida. He is active duty military. My teenager has medical expenses including separate health and dental plan deductibles. I also make monthly health and dental plan payments even though the military father is ordered to provide health care. This child now requires braces due to cross bite and crowding. She is also is in a special education (gifted) program that requires high school tuition fees. What can i do for additional support.

Re: Child Support Modification after Consent Order

You should be able to seek an adjustment in the child support based on a material change in circumstances. If your case is being handled by the state, you will have to ask the state to pursue the adjustment for you.
