Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

Family matter

My sister has been married to my brother-in-law for 27 years. He is now 82 and in the last few months of his life according to Drs. His 35 year old son is giving my sister a very hard time about his care in these final months and is going behind my sisters back and telling his Dad all kind of bad things about my sister and is making him sicker bythe things he is saying , none of which is true. My question is who has more authority over this man , his wife of 27 yrs or his son by another woman?

Re: Family matter

He will still decide for himself until he is declared incompetent by a judge. His wife has a good deal of control over him and his life. We can probably keep others away, at least until they got a court order allowing them contact with him. An attorney would need to know more in order to give a good answer to your question.
