Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

I am trying to file for divorce due to cheating. My spouse is planning to join the military. I don't know what our current community property would be considered. I don't what my legal options in anything.

Since you're asking on a free forum, let me say that fault divorce (adultery) is expensive. It's the real reason why most people get no-fault divorces. Any lawyer who regularly practices family law should be able to navigate the no-fault divorce you need. Community property is a bit more complicated. Generally in Louisiana, if you owned it before the wedding it is separate property. The day the divorce is filed is the effective date for ending the community.

Consult with a lawyer as soon as you can.
