Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

provisional custody by mandate

The parents of an infant signed over provisional custody 11 months ago. Since then, OCS is threatening to take the other 4 kids away from the parents. Do I have the right to petetion the court since I have had the child since he was 5 months old and is now 19 months. If OCS removes the children before the mandate expires, how do I go about petetioning for this child?

Re: provisional custody by mandate

Go ahead & file for custody. OCS is only interested in keeping them safe. They probably have no problem with you.
