Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

if my spouse and i have rental property and we separate am i entitled to half of the rent until we have a communtity property settlement? if he has not turned over half of the money to me can i sue him in small claims court? what if he moves in as roommate to tenant and rent is cut in half?

Your questions will be answered at your community property settlement hearing or stipulated settlement. Keep track of all the rental and you will have a right to be paid when the community is settled. If your name is on the property and lease, then you can demand the tenant cut 2 checks. It is hard to say more without knowing whose name the property is in and likewise the lease.
