Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Louisiana

Day Care provider for child

My child's daycare was taken over by new owners.2 days after the switch in ownership I was given a note stating effective immediately that the daycare would be closing at 6pm instead of 9pm, which coincides with me getting relieved from work at 6pm on 2 days in the week. When I questioned taking my son out of the facility I was told that I needed to give them a 2 week notice. I would be removing him b/c of their closing time. They are no longer accommodating my work schedule and did not give me a time to adjust my schedule to fit their time, so am I required to give them a notice. Also noting that I did not sign a new contract with the new owners, which also bare another name.

Re: Day Care provider for child

My opinion is that the new closing time invalided the old contract and no notice is necessary unless they agree to stay open until 9 PM during those 2 weeks.
