can 2 woman get married in Cal. and live in LA and be able to gain one of the woman's citizenship.

As it stands now, no. Federal law governs in immigration and, despite the fact that CA law allows same-sex marriage, the immigration laws do not yet allow benefits to same sex beneficiaries of those marriages. Hopefully, Congress will permit this someday in the future. An interesting scenario -- one that I would not mind putting to the test if it ever comes up. Maybe there is another possibility for one of the parties in such a relationship to obtain status and eventually citizenship. Good luck!
