illegal immigrant in jail
My boy friend who is illegal is in jail for his 2nd dwi. they told me ins has a hold on him. but no one has told him this yet or no one has gone to see him. will he definately be deported? is there anything that can be done? should he get a lawyer?

You definitely need a lawyer to deal with the DWI if he isn't deported. If they want to deport him, then you would need an attorney to fight to keep him in the US and there isn't much time to try to stop deportation. A second DWI in La. is not a felony but it is serious and usually involved some minimal jail time; so INS may want to send him home.
