parent responsibility

If your child age 18 purchases a vehicle in her own name, registration, title, and car insurance policy is in her name, and she does not live in your home can parents be held liable for any suits in case of an accident? If child does live at home can parents be held liable?

If a person over 18 years of age is driving their own vehicle the parents are not liable for damage caused by the young person.
