Legal Question in Juvenile Dependency in Louisiana

custody

I have two children from a previous relationship. I am court ordered to pay child support. I was wondering because neither one of us has custody could i keep my children and file temporary custody and not have to return them to her. I know she is an unfit parent because i have pictures of my children when i pick them up they are dirty no shoes on and she sends my daughter in some holy boy underwear and my son is 4 and says his mother smokes white rock which i have seen her do. Is it possible to keep my kids. desperatly seeking for my childrens sake. i have a job fiance and a home for the kids to have their own room.

Re: custody

Contact a lawyer who practices family law as soon as possible. Even if she had a custody order there are emergency reasons to demand a custody change. Now is the time for legal caution but also for action.

My biggest concern is that the way you describe the situation it might be inferred that getting out of paying support might be a bigger concern than your children's situation.
