Legal Question in Employment Law in Louisiana

I was terminated from my job in January. I had accrued 3 weeks of vacation to be used in 2017. In 15 years I have alays seen the company pay out their accrued vacations to employees who were terminated or quit. I was not paid mine. I am in the state of Louisiana.

Earned vacation is a wage pursuant to Louisiana law. You can seek payment of those wages under the Louisiana Wage Payment statute, La. R.S. 23:631, as well as penalty wages and attorney's fees.
