Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Louisiana
Having issues with landlord....he is friends with a neighbor that we are having civil and criminal issues with, when we pursued legal action against our neighbor the landlord came by unannounced, came into the house without permission, refused to fix any of the issues requested for over 6 months now, refused to leave the residence when we said he needed to leave and stated " this us my house I will do as I please... you have a rental agreement not a lease remember that "

A rental agreement is a lease. He can't barge into your home without notice. Send him written notice of what needs repairing. If he fails to repair it timely have a professional do it and you can deduct the cost from your rent.
