What is the time frame for filing a medical malpractice suit in LA.

1 year from the act of malpractice or from the discovery of the malpractice, but NO MORE THAN 3 YEARS AFTER THE ACT OF MALPRACTICE. So, if you discovered that malpractice took place 2 years and 364 days after it happened, you have 1 day to file your suit.
