Power of attorney authority to donate

In the state of Louisiana, can an act of donation to the person's children of major age be done by the spouse who has Durable Power of Attorney?

The power of attorney must specifically allow the sale and/or donation of the person's property. A power of attorney which simply grants the power to "act on behalf of another" will not suffice.
