Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Louisiana

Rental agreement

I was wondering what my rights are concerning signing a rental agreement and during my agreement, I get a new job before agreement is fullfilled? Am I liable for the full agreement? Or can i legally leave by giving landlord the required 30 day notice?

Re: Rental agreement

The lease will state whether you can give 30 days notice before the end of the term. Most landlords will work with you, though. Remember, they just want their rent. You may be able to sublease to a 3rd party if the LL does not want to let you out. Read the lease again and communicate your situation with the LL. No one wants to wind up in Court because it costs both sides.
