Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana

ex just died was a beneficiary in an estate
I have been divorced for alomost 5 years. Ex-husband hasn't had any contact w/ our 2 children for about 4 1/2 yrs. he owe's $43,000 in back child support. he recently commited suicide. Can I put a lean on the inheritance that was due to come to him to pay off back child support. he also has 2 other children from different women who I still ahve contact with can they recieve a a portion of his inheritance also. please help need answers and the whole inheritance and probate are going on in a different state. My ex-husband's brother and sister are due to recieve equal shares of their grandmothers extate as well

Contact an attorney about intervening in the succession.

If he was a Louisiana resident any child under 23 is a forced heir. Additionally, every state requires the estate to pay the debts of the deceased.
