inheritance
my father died march 11-09,he was living with my brother.i have not gotten any info pertaining to my inheritance.my father had money saved.how do i find out if i have money coming to me.i have not been contacted or signed any papers regarding my inheritance.I live in California

Call your brother or the person assumed responsibility for administration of the estate. Is it your understanding that your father had a will or that you are a beneficiary in his will, retirement account, insurance policy or something? What is the size of the estate? In California, probate proceedings are conducted in the Superior Court of the county in which the decedent lived, and can take six months or more (but generally estates of $100,000 or less do not need to be probated -- summary disposition instead).
