Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana

Louisiana wills

I recently purchased a home with my domestic partner. We agreed that in the event of either's death, the house becomes the property of the other and not the property of any of our children. (none are minor). How do we legally assure that this happens. Do we need to draw up a will, or will a legal''agreement'' do. We are both females in our late 50's residing in Louisiana.

Re: Louisiana wills

Mutual wills would work best. There are alternatives, such as a "living trust," but wills would be simpler to do now and change later, if circumstances change.
