Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana

My Mother died recently and had a hand written will. I had an $85,000 note to her. Her will states that after the note is retired, all cash is to be divided equally among her three daughters. My sister, who held the will deducted the $85,000 from my portion and distributed $175,000 to herself and my other sister and gave me $90,000.00. Is this correct?

That is probably correct. The note by you pyable to your mother is an asset of her estate, and the executor has the authority to collect it by dedicting that amount from the legacy to you.
