Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana

''What are my rights''

I found my dad about 5 years ago, he died this year. His wife had everything that was in both of there names change to just hers or her and her kids name. Do I have any rights to anything, be it what ever, in a case like this. My father could not read or write, so she handled everything and make sure I would get nothing, they never paid child support and knew where I was all these years. I what to know what legal rights I would have?

Re: ''What are my rights''

Louisiana is a community property state and the wife may not be able to prevent you from obtaining at least a child's interest in your father's estate. Therefore, you need to consult with an attorney there.
