Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana

siblings rights

My father in law and mother in lawboth had one child by prior marrage . They live in Louisianna . The original will was funds were passed to the survivng spouse which is mother inlaw and upon her death it was to be slpit 50/50 betewwn the siblings and half of my wife's to her children . Now the step mother has changed the will and moved almost everything to her daughter . The will is worth quite a lot of money and my wife will be getting less then she makes in a year . can this be contested and is there a law that would help my wife as her father always told her she wouldn't have to worry after he was gone if she was smart .
