There is no state statute that I am aware of. However, the municipality where the bar is located will need to have its ordinance checked out to be sure it is not written in such a way as to prohibit that form of entertainment. Although other bars in the same community may do it, the actual location of the bar in question may be important- what zoning district it is in and if it is located within a certain distance from schools, homes, etc. Also- the municipality may require a special permit.

A discrete call to the town Code Enforcement Officer from someone other than than the bar owner may be a good idea to see what they would do, if anything, if someone complained.
