Legal Question in Consumer Law in Maine

Power of Attorney Transfer from LA to Maine?

My husband is in the military and left yesterday. We had

been

discussing getting a Power of Attorney before, but simply hadn't gotten

around to it. I don't know if we'll be able to arrange it while he's

gone,

but I do have a question: We currently reside in Louisiana and

have

military orders to move to Maine at the end of June or early July this

year.

Do the Durable Power of Attorney forms work differently from state to

state?

Do we need to get one here and then another out there when we move? Or

is

it simply a one-time form completion for the state the grantor/grantee

resides in at the time? Please let me know -- Thank you very much!

Re: Power of Attorney Transfer from LA to Maine?

I served in the Army during Viet Nam......please understand that our military is very sensitive toward the family of our men in uniform........go to the Judge Advocate General and DEMAND help.....if that does not work....get in touch with me and I will be happy to help.....but frankly, the army/navy/airforce/marines really do care! God bless your husband and God bless America!!
