Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Maine

debt

Can a credit card company, bank, or collection agency attach my wages in the state of maine? I thought only the federal goverment could for tax debt and the state could for tax debt and or child support. I have always been told this, but reading by your website it

sounded as if a collection agency in Maine could garnish my wages

Do you have the answer?
