You should consult with an attorney in Maine. Yes, if his driving privileges are revoked or suspended in Maine, New Hampshire will do likewise. DUI is a serious offense and the penalties go far beyond just a loss of driving and fines.

I would be happy to speak with you and answer any questions that you may have. The prosecutors do not typically look at the case or file a complaint (the complaint officially starts the court process, even though he received a summons telling him to be there on 11/6) until very close in time to the court date. The 11/6 date is for the arraignment, when important deadlines begin to run, and defendants plead either guilty or not guilty. He would not have to attend court on that date if he retained an attorney. After that date, your son or his attorney may obtain "discovery", including the police reports and any other evidence that the prosecutor intends to use. I would do my own investigation and request additional information to fully evaluate and defend the case, as well as file motions in defense. Unfortunately, Maine does advise NH, and NH will also suspend his license there until he satifies Maine's requirements for reinstatement. Blood alcohol levels above .15 lead to an aggravated OUI (drunk driving) charge, which include higher penalties if convicted, i.e.: possible jail time and larger fines.
