Legal Question in Family Law in Maine

Can A Bigamous Marriage Be Legitimized

A man who is married in CA travels to Maine, where he meets a woman from that state. They marry in a civil ceremony, with a valid marriage license, issued by Connecticut, in CT. They return to ME and live as husband/wife. The woman is not aware of the preexisting marriage. The marriage is consummated. The man returns to CA and subsequently files for divorce from spouse in that state. Once that divorce is final, does the CT marriage become legal/valid?
