Legal Question in Family Law in Maine

Can I be forced to pay for my ex’s supervised visitation?

I am in the midst of a custody battle for my daughter. There were jurisdictional issues and the case in now being heard in a state my daughter and I do not reside in!

I have had sole physical custody of my daughter for a year. During which time I have solely supported her. My ex was ordered to pay support and has not paid any.

Because of my ex’s history of drugs and violence she has supervised visitation every weekend. I was ordered to bring my daughter to the state that her mother resided in twice a month. Accruing travel expenses of over $40 dollars, the other weekends I have to pay for the visits in our home state an expense of $ 50 dollars.

I the only one supporting my daughter and yet I have to spend $180 so that my ex can visit. I feel this is unfair. I have done nothing wrong. I am not the one who needs to be supervised yet I am paying. What can I do so that I AM NOT PAYING FOR MY EX TO VISIT WITH MY DAUGHTER?
