Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Maine

I purchased a coal burning stove for approx $2300.00. I was told the stove would be ready for pick up 3-4 mo later. That time came and went, no stove. The owner loaned us his shop stove with the promise that we would get our stove in no later then6 wks. That never happened. He will not answer email, registered mail or phone calls. What should my next course of action be?~ Heather

This is essentially a breach of contract. You can try to take him to small claims court to have him deliver the stove or return your money.
